In the heart of Castilla La Mancha in the land of windmills and open spaces, lies one of the beautiful properties of Grupo Terramagna. The old Moorish buildings have been updated, including hotel and most the winery.
La Mancha is well known for Manchego cheese, which like Champagne, must be produced within the DO. Gazpacho is also a well-known dish that originated here. Olive trees are plentiful and dot landscape.
Rainfall in La Mancha is very scarce. The climate hot continental climate, hot summers with cold winters making the area inhospitable to fungus and mold. The vines are stressed in summer which creates a perfect environment for ripening of the grapes. Tempranillo, Monestrell and Garnacha Tintorera are native varietals. Cabernet Sauvignon and Petit Verdot round out the vineyards to produce Vino de la Tierra of La Mancha.
Grupo Terramagna has owned the property for 12 years which award winning recognition for their wines and olive oil.
